Nancy is the smiling face that greets you when you first enter our office. She joined our practice in 1988 and is our scheduling expert. She also assists Dr. Sain in scheduling continuing education courses which keeps our team informed about the newest treatment developments and technology in orthodontics.
Nancy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Nancy relocated to Tennessee in 1982. She presently lives in Woodbury with her husband, Avery. Nancy and Avery have three wonderful sons, Jeff, Steven, and Scott. Jeff works for Husky Lumber Company and his beautiful wife, Jenny, is an RN at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. They have two beautiful boys, Aiden and Cade. Steven is a school teacher, part-time youth minister, and cabinet maker. His wife, Ana, is a school teacher in Cannon County. Scott works for the Rutherford County Adult Activity Center. Nancy and her family are actively involved with the youth in their churches. Nancy’s favorite pastimes are playing with her grandsons, spending time with her family, and reading.
Stevie
New Patient Coordinator

Stevie, one of our new patient coordinators, joined our team in 2011. She has a desire to introduce patients to our mission of creating smiles from the heart. Stevie moved to Tennessee in 2007 after graduating from Regis University in Denver, with a degree in Religious Studies. Shortly after she moved to Tennessee, Stevie met and married her husband, Brian, who was born and raised in Tullahoma. He is a graduate of MTSU and Boston University. They are members at Belle Aire Baptist Church and enjoy sharing life in Middle Tennessee. They also enjoy traveling and spending time with their puppies, Shiloh and Bailey.

Shelli
New Patient/Community Care Coordinator

Shelli, also known to the students of our county as the Tooth Fairy’s helper, joined our team in January, 2007. She has been a part of the orthodontic community for 25 years. Shelli brings a passion and love for creating smiles in children and adults wherever she goes! She is committed to education and communication and strives to serve our dentists, schools, and businesses with excellence.
Shelli has called Murfreesboro home since 1987. Her husband, Jeff, and her children, Mitch and Miah, are her life’s focus, but she is blessed with many friends and family. She attends Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville. Shelli is currently a facilitator for Asitia, the abstinence education program provided for our local middle schools and sponsored by the Pregnancy Support Center in Murfreesboro. Shelli can be seen all over Murfreesboro attending and participating in community events.
Allie

Allie has become a wonderful addition to our practice. Although Allie joined our team in February 2010 she has been with us a long time. Allie started as a patient of Dr. Sain’s when she was eight. After her treatment with a jaw corrector, palatial widening device and braces, Allie told her mom she wanted to work at Dr. Sain’s when she grew up. Dr. Sain feels truly blessed to have been apart of this beautiful young lady’s smile. Allie feels blessed to know that she is a part of making smiles as great as hers on our patients.
Allie is the daughter of Mike and Margaret and has two brothers, Andrew and Matthew. She attends Belle Aire Baptist Church where she is involved in the AO college ministry.
Julie

Since 1989, Julie has worked with Dr. Sain as a treatment partner. She has worked in dentistry since 1984. She is a registered dental assistant in the State of Tennessee and has continued her education to become a Nationally Certified Dental and Orthodontic Assistant. According to Julie, orthodontics has become a passion in her life. Seeing the children grow up has been more rewarding than words could describe.
Julie and her husband, Bill, both grew up in Southern Illinois. In 1984, they moved to Murfreesboro. Bill is in the automotive industry with a background in sales. Julie and Bill attend River Oaks Community Church where Julie is involved with their First Impressions Team. They love this community and enjoy spending time together with friends.
Janet

We are very excited to have Janet as part of our Smile Team. Janet has been in the dental field now for approximately 30 years. Her experience and depth of knowledge is a blessing to us and our patients. Janet has two children, Jessica and Justin. Jessica and her husband, Ben, have gifted Janet with her first grandchild, Sophia Ann. Justin attends the University of Chattanooga and works part-time for the State of Tennessee. Janet and her family attend The Donelson Fellowship Church. In her spare time, Janet likes to decorate and remodel her home along with any and all outdoor work as well.
Chalice

Since December 2009, Chalice has been a part of “The Smile Team.” Her favorite part of her job is working with children and adults.
Chalice was home schooled through junior high and high school. She graduated from Tennessee Technology Center of Shelbyville where she obtained her registration in dental assisting.
Chalice and her husband, Dan, grew up in LaVergne. They now reside in Murfreesboro with their two beautiful children, Reaghan and Sullivan. They attend World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. Chalice enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, and reading a good book.
Holly

Holly Hughes started working with Dr. Sain in 1988. She took a leave of absence for two years after the birth of her son, Joey. She is back working in our office part-time. Holly was born and raised in Murfreesboro and graduated from Oakland High School.
She attended classes at Nashville Tech to acquire her dental assistant’s license. Holly is married to Neil Hughes, also from Murfreesboro. Holly enjoys spending time with her family, baking, sewing, reading and watching Joey play baseball. The Hughes family attends church in Murfreesboro at Stones River Church of Christ.
Diane

Diane joined our Smile Team in 2010 as our Financial Coordinator; she is available to assist you with any questions or concerns regarding patient accounts, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. Diane is no stranger to Orthodontics and brings with her approximately 9 years of Orthodontic experience ranging from Assistant Office Manager to Appointment Scheduling, she also has an additional 20 years of Medical office experience.
In 1984, Diane relocated from Lafayette, Tennessee, moved to Smyrna, and married her long distance sweetheart, Chuck. Her parents, brother, and extended family still reside in Lafayette and she visits them often. Diane and Chuck are blessed to have two wonderful children; both whom attended and graduated from Smyrna High School. Their son Geoff works in Nashville, and daughter Ashley works in Murfreesboro.
My “favorite things” are being a grams, reading, being with family and friends, and spending time with my Love.
Vickie
Insurance Coordinator/Office Manager

Vickie joined our team in November, 2010, and is new to orthodontics. She spent most of her career as the Executive Director of the Murfreesboro Pregnancy Support Center in program development, staff development, financial development, and counseling.
Vickie graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in political science. Vickie has worked in property management (condominium management), was an office manager of the Bob Parks relocation team, a newspaper reporter with the Pulaski Citizen, and a stay-at-home mom (her favorite above all the others).
Vickie has three children, Martha-Marie (married to William), Preston, and Paige. She has two grandsons, Elijah and Jaidon who know her only as “Shuggie.” Vickie has been married to her husband, David, for over 33 years. David works at Pinnacle Bank.
David and Vickie attend Believers’ Chapel. She loves to travel, garden, read, sew, and do anything those grandsons want to do.
Sonia

Sonia is involved in many areas of the office. She is like a utility player in baseball. She works where they need her. Since 1985, she has worked part-time with Dr. Sain.
She was born in Livingston, Tennessee and grew up most of her life in Manchester, Tennessee. She attended school in Manchester and met her husband, David (Dr. Sain) in 8th grade. They dated from 8th grade through high school. After marrying, they moved to Cookeville where she attended Tennessee Technology University. After living in Cookeville for four years, they moved to Memphis for her husband to attend dental school. While in Memphis, she completed her degree in business with a major in real estate. She worked as a title searcher for Memphis, Light, Gas, and Water until they moved to Murfreesboro.
Her true love is her family. She and David have been married 39 years and it has been full of life experiences. She says, “David is a great guy and a wonderful husband.” They have two wonderful daughters. Each is her own person and she loves that about them. Holly Sain Pearson is their oldest daughter. She is a teacher at Rock Springs Elementary and has completed four degrees in education. But most importantly, she is an awesome wife and mom. She is married to Christian Pearson, a State Farm Payment Plan Supervisor. He is a true blessing not only as a son-in-law, but also as a husband and dad. They have two of the most wonderful children. James Zachary keeps everyone busy with his travel baseball and football. Their daughter, Madison Lee is a beautiful young lady, so full of life and such a girly girl. She brings sunshine to the room when she arrives. She is a dancer and coach pitch ball player. Jessica Sain Leech is their youngest daughter. She is a clinical pharmacist and wonderful wife and new mom. She is married to Dr. Jeff Leech, a newly established dentist in Murfreesboro. He is such a blessing as a son-in-law, as well as a husband and dad. They have two beautiful daughters. Mylan Elizabeth is so cute and the image of her mama. She loves playing outside and with her cousin, Madi. She is so loving and caring with her new sister, Austin Marie. Austin loves sleeping and discovering the world around her.
Between family and work, Sonia enjoys spending time with her mother (87- who gets around like she is 45 or younger), her five siblings, having talks with Ms. Betty, her Bible study group, working out at the MAC with her friend, Misty, gardening, ministering with other women, teaching Asitia, volunteering and attending at World Outreach Church, serving in the community, but most of all loving those grandchildren and watching them grow up.
